Little Lambs International News Update

Category: Uncategorized

Our Director’s Sam, Michelle, and the Nanny Staff are currently  caring for the needs of 10 children. This number is ever changing due to the nature of each child’s case. The ages of the children range from 4 months to 12 yrs. These two little lambs pictured above came to us about a year ago as they were abandoned on the streets. After several court hearings a judge has decided that they will remain with Little Lambs until late October. The future is uncertain for these boys but we trust a God that knows and is in control of all things. Continue to pray for Sam, Michelle and our Nannies as they raise these children in light of Gods love and provide them with healthy community and family.

Building Project Update

This year, we received 7 teams with close to 120 volunteers made up of over 20 different churches from New England to Florida. In January we were able to continue the site work on our lower compound area of 12+ acres, where the houses and small community will be for our children. The site-work is now nearly completed, and we hope to have that finished before the end of the year, to start laying underground pipework and electric beginning of 2019!

We then moved onto other projects such as completing the director’s house and nearly 600 feet of our driveway up to the team house. The upgrade of the road was so desperately needed. In the rainy season, the road would wash out leaving only parking at the bottom of the hill. This posed a challenge for the children and staff having to walk all the way up in the pouring rain!  Now that it’s completed it has been a huge blessing!

Along with the construction and physical labor, most teams participated in community outreach, by planning and running a great VBS for the local children and woman. As well as visiting a local church and many homes spreading the love of Jesus! We even held our first Sports Bible Camp in a local village (allowing us to reach over 100 men with the gospel!). Concluding our projects with a big dental and medical outreach for the local communities, blessing over 200 people with free healthcare.

Thank you to all the Teams! We couldn’t do what we do without YOU!
